Jon Jones Looking For February Or March Return
UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones has been enjoying some well deserved time off since his last title defense against Alexander Gustafsson.
The UFC’s youngest title holder has gone through a ‘murderers row’ of contenders in route to becoming one of the sports pound-for-pound wrecking machines.
Now set to fight Glover Teixeira, the only thing left is for the UFC champion to book a date with his employer on when he would like to return to action.
FOX TV’s Ariel Helwani has the scoop:
Malki Kawa, Jones’ manager, told MMAFighting.com on Friday that a “best-case scenario” for Jones would be to defend his light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira in March, but Jones would also be open to fighting at UFC 170 on Feb. 22 in Las Vegas. The UFC has yet to announce a headliner for UFC 170.
