Jordan Mein vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio added to UFC on FOX 11
According to a report from MMAJunkie, a welterweight bout between Jordan Mein (27-9 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Santiago Ponzinibbio (18-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is the latest addition to April’s UFC on FOX 11 card.
Canadian Jordan Mein is coming off a loss to surging welterweight contender, Matt Brown, at the UFC on FOX 7 event in San Jose. Prior to the loss, Mein was on a 3-fight win streak, which included a first-round stoppage of Dan Miller in his octagon debut at UFC 158 in Montreal.
Meanwhile, “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2” cast member, Ponzinibbio, is set to make his second UFC appearance when he takes on Mein this April. In his promotional debut, Santiago lost to Ryan LaFlare by unanimous decision. The loss snapped a 7-fight win streak for the Brazilian.
UFC on FOX 11 takes place April 19 live from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The main card airs live on FOX, with the prelims showing on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. The event is headlined by a heavyweight #1 contenders match between Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne.
