Josh Barnett to Ben Askren: Go f— yourself
Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett (32-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will make his long awaited return to the octagon this weekend at UFC 164 in Milwaukee.
Barnett’s opponent Saturday night will be 2-time UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir, but for some reason or another, it was current free agent and rating Bellator welterweight champion, Ben Askren, who had Josh’s attention Wednesday on Twitter:
@Benaskren: Love how the (UFC 164) Countdown show glanced over the fact that Barnett tested positive for 3 banned substances after the Couture fight. @Vada_Testing
@JoshLBarnett: @Benaskren Did I piss in your cheerios or something or do you just like the view from your high chair? Have fun in obscurity.
@JoshLBarnett: @Benaskren @Vada_Testing I won’t even acknowledge VADA. They’re entirely agenda driven and that agenda is NOT sport.
@Benaskren: @JoshLBarnett Lol I know it doesn’t matter to you, but I can look at myself in the mirror and be ok with choices. In 20 years you will have a hard time doing the same.
@JoshLBarnett: @Benaskren Hardly. I lose no sleep at night in the least. You on the other hand have to judge & throw stones just to be relevant.
@JoshLBarnett: @Benaskren It must feel terrible knowing that without casting insults my way nothing you say matters. You’re nearly invisible. Rough life.
@JoshLBarnett: @Benaskren Lastly, go f— yourself you high & mighty prick. If you want to be famous just come run your mouth next time you see me.
@Benaskren: @JoshLBarnett maybe we will end up in the same locker room Saturday 🙂
Ben Askren will be in the corner of his Roufusport teammate Anthony “Showtime” Pettis for the headliner of Saturday’s UFC 164 event. Odds are pretty good that at some point this weekend, Askren and Barnett will cross paths.
