Jury agrees to fight Diaz, Nate still waiting for his money

By Chris Taylor - June 30, 2014

Surging UFC lightweight contender Myles Jury (14-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is looking for a fight that will boost him into title contention.

Apparently, the UFC has offered “Fury” a match against former lightweight title contender Nate Diaz. However, the Stockton Slugger has yet to sign on the dotted line.

With that said, Jury took to his twitter yesterday in an attempt to persuade Nate into taking the fight:

@FuryJury: “@NateDiaz209 I respect u a lot, BUT… I confirmed to fight you & have been waiting on you for a week. Are we getting after it or what?”

Nate responded to the tweet in typical Diaz fashion:

@NateDiaz209: “Bout my money #breakbread till then don’t call ..”

Myles Jury was most recently seen in action at March’s UFC 171 event in Dallas, where he earned a lop-sided decision win over former title challenger Diego Sanchez.

Meanwhile, Nate Diaz was last seen in the cage in the headlining bout of November 2013’s “TUF 18 Finale” event, where he scored a first-round TKO over former title challenger Gray Maynard. The victory snapped a 2-fight losing skid for Nate, and earned him “Knockout of the night” honors.
