Khabib Nurmagomedov Signs Individual Deal With Reebok
Undefeated UFC lightweight, Khabib Nurmagomedov, is the latest fighter to sign an individual sponsorship deal with Reebok.
Reebok officials announced the partnership and now the Dagestan is among fighters like Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Paige VanZant, Rory MacDonald and strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
That’s quite the group to be apart of. Khabib has not fought since April of 2014, when he defeated the current lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (before he was champion). Injuries have kept the undefeated fighter on the sidelines and from reaching that UFC gold. Widely considered to be at the top of the division, Khabib simply hasn’t been active enough to warrant a shot at the title.
What do you guys think, right move by Reebok?
There really isn’t a formula to who they choose to sign, or at least it’s not a obvious one. They sign some champions, but not all, and then they sign fighters who only have a few fights in the promotion. It’s safe to say they look for fighters who have a strong following and are marketable, but still, so far it’s been sort of a toss up.
Have you guys ordered your Fight Kits yet?
