LeBell: Rousey is disappointed she didn’t break Correia’s bones
“I think she was a little disappointed… She wanted to beat this gal up, and she said, ‘I wasn’t through, I wanted to break something, an arm or a leg or neck’. But John McCarthy broke it up because she was unconscious. But she said, ‘well, I proved a point.’ She’s happy, so I’m happy.”
Bethe Correia did everything she could to get under the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion’s skin leading into their fight at “UFC 190” and paid the price for it in less than a minute.
Ronda Rousey only needed thirty-four seconds to dispose of “Pitbull” earlier in August even though she claimed she was going to draw the fight out and make her suffer. One of Rousey’s coaches and mentors, “Judo” Gene LeBell, confessed on a recent edition of the MMA Hour that Rousey wished she had more time to rip into Correia.
With Correia in the rear-view, Rousey now has her sights set on another championship defense against Miesha Tate. Rousey already possesses two wins over “Cupcake”, but Tate has shown improvement since her last loss to the champion.
