Thales Leites has found new life during his current stint in the UFC. Since getting cut in 2009, Leites has only lost once. Leites is currently riding a six fight winning streak and has yet to lose in the octagon during his current run in the cage, and he is looking to keep that streak alive against “The Count”.

“It’s gonna be by knockout or submission. Depends how he will receive my hands. But I will put my hands on his face for sure,” Leites said when asked whether he will finish Bisping.

“When we get inside the cage it’s just me and him, and you close the cage and we will figure out who will be the best fighter that night,” he told Submission Radio. I think that this fight is perfect for me. I will fight forward for sure and probably he will fight forward, too. We will collide every time. I will fight standing, I will fight on the take downs, I will work my take downs and we will fight on the ground…We will see what will happen [and] who will feel the heavy hands first [and look] to try and take [the other] down or clinch.”

Bookies will have a tough decision when they are forced to choose the odds for Thales Leites meeting with Michael Bisping. Bisping is a veteran, but has suffered some tough losses while in the octagon. Leites will walk into the bout without a UFC loss, but this will be his first high-profile fight since facing Anderson Silva in 2009. Regardless of who the odds favor, Leites is ready for the fight.

“If I will be the underdog and he will be the favorite, I don’t care.”
