Here’s a piece of sad news from the MMA world. UFC staple and veteran cutman Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran has been let go by the promotion and will no longer work events for them.

Duran broke the news on his Twitter account:

Duran has been a familiar face in the UFC for as long as most fans can probably remember. He has appeared in UFC video games and is just an all around major piece of the whole UFC viewing experience. If you’ve watched UFC events then you know who this guy is. It just seems crazy that the UFC would make this decision and just for talking about the Reebok deal?

So does this mean fighters who aren’t down with it will start being cut? This is sad news, just really sad news.
