Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Boetsch Targeted For UFC 166
A middleweight clash between Luke Rockhold and Tim Boetsch is reportedly set for UFC 166 according to ESPN.com
Both fighters are coming off of losses and will use this fight as a jumping-off point to re-enter the stacked middleweight rankings in an attempt to gain contender status.
Rockhold last fought Vitor Belfort in May, losing brief fight that saw him go down to a wheel kick. Rockhold was knocked out, marking his first loss six years and an unsuccessful UFC debut.
For UFC veteran Boetsch, the turn around is much quicker. Boetsch last fought against Mark Munoz at UFC 162, losing a one-sided affair to a motivated Munoz by unanimous decision.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The main event features the third bout in a heavyweight trilogy as Cain Velasquez takes on Junior dos Santos for the heavyweight championship of the world.
