Machida Eyes Early 2016 Return, Wants To Fight Michael Bisping
Former UFC light heavyweight champion and current top ten middleweight Lyoto Machida has been out of the octagon since suffering a brutal loss to Yoel Romero, in which Romero pounded Machida with elbows until the referee stepped in and stopped the fight. Before that, Machida suffered a submission loss to Luke Rockhold in a one-sided beat down.
He’s actually 1-3 in his last four, with his only win coming over CB Dolloway. After his loos to Romero in June Machida said he needed to take a little bit of a break and now, according to UFC Tonight, the Dragon plans on returning in early 2016 and already has an opponent in mind.
Apparently the fighter would like to throw down with ‘The Count’ Michael Bisping.
Bisping is currently on a two fight win streak, with wins over Dolloway and Thales Leites.
