Matt Brown’s Happy He Didn’t Have To Fight Nate Diaz

Matt Brown WINS

Best UFC on FOX cards

UFC welterweight, ‘The Immortal’ Matt Brown, fights tonight at UFC 189, against Tim Means.

A while back there were talks of Brown fighting Nate Diaz on the same card. The UFC even announced it, but later Diaz came out and said he never even signed anything. The fight was eventually scrapped and Brown got a different opponent.

While talking to MMAFighting, Brown said he’s actually happy that he didn’t end up fighting Diaz.

“I wasn’t disappointed. I wasn’t sure he was going to take it. He’s a 155-er; I think he should stay at 155. I’ve got a lot of respect for both of the Diaz’s so I’m happy he didn’t take it. I’d only want to fight him because I want that bloodbath that Nate would probably have.”
