McGregor: ‘I’ll Whip Aldo And Mendes On The Same Night’
UFC featherweight Conor McGregor won’t know who he’s fighting for sure at UFC 189 until he steps on the scale to weigh-in.
That doesn’t concern the Notorious one, who told MMAJunkie that he’ll fight both Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes if he needs to, on the same night. The Irishmen thinks they are both similar, in fact he believes all his opponents are the same.
“I’ll whip both of them on the same night if need be; whoever shows up across the octagon will get beat. They’re all the same to me. They throw the same shots. Chad and Jose, I feel, are actually similar on the feet. And in the wrestling I feel they are similar style opponents. They’re all the same to me.”
“Don’t even tell me. I’ll show up at the scales and whoever is there, is there. I don’t need to know. I’d beat both of them on the same night, so it makes no difference.
“I don’t give a f-ck really. I don’t care. I’ll be there July 10 at 145 pounds, and on July 11, I will have a gold belt wrapped around my waist. So everything else means nothing to me.”
