WWE Boss A Big Fan Of “Amazing” Ronda Rousey
Stephanie McMahon is singing Ronda Rousey’s praises again, but it looks like Rousey’s appearance at Wrestlemania 31 really was just a one-off deal.
McMahon was a guest on WWE Network‘s “Talk Is Jericho” and she told Chris Jericho that there are currently no plans to bring Rousey back to the squared circle. “In terms of the plan, I don’t know if we’ll see anything happen from it, but it was so much fun at WrestleMania.”
McMahon was a antagonist in a segment at Wrestlemania 31 where she was antagonizing the crowd. She is essentially drunk on power and WWE legend The Rock came to the ring to verbally put her in her place. McMahon, who plays the perfect role of being the rich owner’s annoying daughter, told Rock she was not going to stop because she knew he’d never hit her.
Enter: Ronda Rousey.
Ronda Rousey jumped the barricade and actually went face-to-face with McMahon! McMahon tried to land a slap to the face, but Rousey caught it and threatened an armbar. Eventually, McMahon escaped but it looked like their rivalry is far from over. McMahon wants a match! “I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about that. Is it a plan? No.”
Out of character, McMahon is a mother of three and a wife to Triple H. She went on to state that she actually looks up to Rousey and thinks she is a role model for children. “She is amazing… She’s legitimate and she is a woman drawing in main events for the UFC, and that is awesome. She is unapologetic and so herself, and is having this incredible career, which is so inspiring. I want my daughters to look up to her. She’s paving the way.”
