Medical Suspensions Report: Thatch, Miller Out Two-Months
Earlier this month, fight fans witnessed Benson Henderson’s successful move up to welterweight, where he defeated Brandon Thatch via submission.
The win not only snapped a 2-fight skid for Henderson, but also put him on the map as a welterweight threat.
Below are the medical suspensions for the event, which were obtained by MMAFighting:
Cole Miller: Suspended 60 days
Patrick Walsh: Suspended 60 days (weight)
Jim Alers: Suspended 60 days
Brandon Thatch: Suspended 60 days, may be cleared earlier by physician
Michel Prazeres: Suspended 60 days, may be cleared earlier by physician
Chas Skelly: Suspended 60 days, may be cleared earlier by physician
Zach Makovsky: Suspended 60 days, may be cleared earlier by physician
Cody Pfister: Suspended 60 days, may be cleared earlier by physician
Efrain Escudero: Suspended 30 days
Rodrigo de Lima: Suspended 30 days
James Moontasri: Suspended 30 days (weight)
Note: Walsh and Moontasri were both suspended for 30 days as a precaution after both men missed weight at weigh-ins. Fighters not mentioned sustained no significant injury, and were suspended for a mandatory 7-days.
