‘Mighty Mouse’ Plans on Shutting Up The ‘Mental Midget’
UFC 191 will feature a highly anticipated main event title fight between flyweights Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson, a rematch of a very close fight where Johnson got the decision win.
Since then Dodson has been laying claim that the belt should belong to him and that he’s the only one that’s even rocked the champ, dropping him a few times in their first fight. Well now he gets his chance to prove it on Saturday night.
Like every fight, there has been a bit of back and forth between the two fighters, with Dodson claiming to have won the first fight and Johnson pointing out that he’s the one that walked away with the belt. Both men are eager to prove the other wrong.
Dodson’s known for his high energy and extreme confidence, but Johnson says he’s simply a guy who has to talk a lot to build himself up.
Here’s what he told MMAFighting:
“Some people have to talk themselves up, we call them mental midgets. ‘Oh, I’m a killer, I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that, I punch hard.’ I don’t need to tell any one of you guys that I can do what I can do. I’ll just show it to you guys and if you want a little sneak peek, come watch me work out. That’s how I do my thing. You know when you walk through a neighborhood and someone has a chihuahua that keeps on barking? And you turn around and it turns back to the porch, and you finally get the chance to kick the chihuahua back to its porch? Then everybody else in the whole neighborhood goes, ‘thank you so much.'”
