MIGHTY MOUSE Still Eyeing ‘Mighty Check’ For Super Fight
Demetrious Johnson could go down as one of the most underrated UFC champions in the company’s history. “Mighty Mouse” has racked up an impressive ten victories inside of the octagon and has successfully defended his flyweight title six times.
“Mighty Mouse” wants his name to be synonymous with the flyweight division in the future. Johnson told the fans during his Q&A session at “UFC Fight Nigh 66”, “My goal is to make sure that when you go to the flyweight division and you look at every single person who’s in the flyweight division, you see, ‘Demetrious Johnson – loss.’ ‘Demetrious Johnson – loss, armbar.’ That’s my goal, so I don’t worry about all that stuff. I just worry about who I’m going to be fighting next and make sure I stay healthy.”
While being a dominant flyweight, Johnson is still eyeing the possibility of a superfight somewhere down the line. “Whoever it’s against, down the road – like I said, I already gave Dana White the magic number,” Johnson stated. “We sat down, and we talked about it before. So if it presents itself and the numbers are right, yes, I’ll do (a superfight).”
