UFC featherweight and superstar Conor McGregor will fight Chad Mendes for the interim title this Saturday at UFC 189, but the Irishmen has much bigger ambitions in mind.

McGregor told Jim Rome that he plans on owning the UFC one day. No really, he said that.

“I want to go down as one of the greatest of all time. I feel in my era, I am pound for pound number one and I would like to go down remembered as that, As far as what’s ahead for me, I feel I want shares in the company, I want to own the company one day, that’s my goal.”

Could we see McGregor holding press conferences as an owner of the UFC in the future?
