Booking Roundup: UFC adds three bouts to upcoming events
The UFC has added two bouts to the upcoming UFC on FOX 14 card, and a high profile bout to UFC 182 in January.
First up is Mirsad Bektic vs. Alan Omer, which will go down from Sweden on January 24th. Bektic is undefeated in both his MMA career, as well as his time under the UFC banner, going 8-0 in his pro career and 1-0 while with the UFC. His opponent, Alan Omer is a seasoned veteran of the sport, going 18-4 in his pro career, but dropped his only UFC bout to Jim Alers.
Next up we have Andy Ogle vs. Mikwan Amirkhani, which will also go down at UFC on FOX 14 in Sweden. Ogle will be riding a 3-fight losing streak into the bout, and is likely in a ‘win or be cut’ situation. His opponent, Makwan Amirkhani rebounded from a loss in his UFC debut to defeat Yohan Guerin.
Last but certainly not least is Josh Koscheck vs. Jake Ellenberger. Koscheck will be returning to the UFC at UFC 184 in February. The bout will come over a year after Koscheck’s last bout in the Octagon, which was a KO loss to Tyron Woodley in November of 2013.
