Ferguson vs. Medeiros Added To STACKED UFC 184 Event

An intriguing lightweight matchup between Tony Ferguson and Yancy Medeiros (pictured) has been added to an already stacked UFC 184 event.

UFC officials announced the bout on Tuesday.

UFC 184 goes down on February 28, live on pay-per-view from Los Angeles. In the main event Chris Weidman takes on Vitor Belfort. In the co-main event Ronda Rousey takes on Cat Zingano.

By all accounts, the night’s latest addition should be a crowd pleaser.

Ferguson comes out of Southern California’s South OC MMA hub, training around a very elite group of gyms the likes of Reign training center and 10th planet Jiu Jitsu.

Medeiros, a Hawaiian born athlete is team Diaz fighter, training in Northern California’s Stockton area with the Diaz brother, who speak very highly of the top UFC prospect.
