Phil Davis No Longer Under UFC Contract

It appears as if top UFC light-heavyweight fighter Phil Davis made a gamble with his career, taking his last contracted fight on his UFC contract without an extension.

The result? He lost.

Following Davis’ decision loss to Ryan Bader, he now finds himself on the outside looking in, without a UFC contract, and without the bargaining chip of a recent win.

According to UFC Tonight, both the UFC and Phil Davis have yet to come to terms on a new contract, which could potentially lead to other offers from competing promoters, should the two fail to reconcile.
