PHOTO | Ian McCall Undergoes Hand Surgery

Ian McCall is fresh off a dominant win over Brad Pickett at UFC Dublin last month. During his post fight octagon speech, he mentioned that he would have to undergo hand surgery to fix a nagging injury that was preventing him from training at 100% with it.

McCall had the surgery, and snapped a picture of his stitched up hand after the fact for his Instagram.

A win over Pickett likely put Uncle Creepy in line for a shot at Demetrious Johnson’s title belt if he defeats Chris Cariaso at UFC 178. John Dodson was the #1 contender prior to tearing his ACL during training. If McCall returns before Dodson, there is a very good chance he will get the next shot for the belt after Cariaso.
