REEM: ‘Fabricio Werdum Wants Nothing To Do With Me’
UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem will have his hands full with former UFC champ Junior dos Santos at UFC on FOX on Dec 19.
That’s a fight he’s been calling asking for for a while now. He finally got it and will now take on the fellow dangerous striker in what is sure to be a war.
Ahead of that, Overeem spoke with Chael Sonnen on his podcast and says that knows the current champ, Fabricio Werdum is afraid of him and wants nothing to do with a fight between the two of them.
Overeem owns a win over Werdum from 2011, but in the current state of the division, things are a lot different than back then.
Here’s what Overeem had to say:
“I definitely get satisfaction of that [win]. I also know that Werdum doesn’t like me. He doesn’t want to fight me. I’m the kind of guy … I can beat you. I can beat any heavyweight. Of course, that strikes fear in them. I pay attention to what people say, what heavyweight fighters say in the UFC. Werdum doesn’t want anything to do with me, either.”
