Report: Frankie Edgar vs. Chad Mendes Will Headline TUF 22 Finale
It looks like The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale will be capped off with a main event fight between top UFC featherweights Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes.
The fight was first reported by Brazilian website Lancenet, then confirmed by MMAJunkie, who state that several sources close to the signing of the fight have stated that it is indeed happening and both fighters have verbally agreed to the scrap. The bout agreements are apparently close to being finalized.
It was just recently that Mendes issued a challenge to Edgar via Twitter. Looks like Edgar accepted and the fight was put in motion soon after.
TUF 22 Finale will go down on Dec. 11, the day before UFC 194, where Jose Aldo will face Conor McGregor for the unified featherweight title.
