Rousey reveals she has arthritis

Ronda Rousey may only have 12 professional MMA fights, but that on top of her extensive Judo background have lead to multiple surgeries, and apparently arthritis.

During a UFC 193 media day scrum, Rousey was asked by MMAJunkie about Miesha Tate potentially retiring as a result of being snubbed for a title shot (See that by clicking THIS LINK).

Rousey stated that she didn’t feel bad for Tate, and pointed out that she has much more mileage on her body than Tate does.

What shocked everyone however was when Rousey said her retirement won’t take “that long” and revealed that she has arthritis.

In regards to her eventual retirement:

“It’s not going to take that long. I’m the one with all the surgeries and arthritis. I don’t know why she’s talking about retirement.”
