Rousey’s coach doesn’t care about criticism from Rousey’s mother
Ronda Rousey’s mom, Dr. Ann Maria, recently had some very harsh things to say in regards to her daughter’s head coach Edmond Tarverdyan. She stated that “she’s around some people that I think are really bad for her… People who do not have her best interests at heart” after stating that Edmond is a “terrible coach” and a “bad person.”
During a UFC 193 media day scrum earlier this week, Edmond Tarverdyan was asked about the comments.
He stated:
“It doesn’t matter for me. We have a fight in front of us on November 14th, and that’s all I worry about and I care about at this point. It’s her mom at the end of the day and that’s it.”
“I’m a person who have never spoke any negative about anybody’s mom, and I will never do that — friendship, anybody. I’ve always said that a mom is a mom, and that’s it. That’s all I have to say.”
UFC 193 goes down November 14th from the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne Australia and is headlined by a UFC women’s bantamweight championship fight between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. In the co-main event Joanna Jędrzejczyk will be looking to prove her dominance as the best female strawweight on the planet as she defends her championship against Valerie Letourneau.
