‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey Talks Retirement And It’s Closer Than You Might Think

By BJPENN.COM News - September 2, 2015

The UFC’s biggest star, bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, might not be around for much longer.

Ronda Rousey serious

According to the champ herself, she only sees herself fighting until her early thirties. She’s currently 28 years old.

While on the recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ Rousey revealed that she isn’t planning on fighting into her mid thirties and will look to move on to other things come that time.

As stated before, she’s already 28 and wants to call it quits around 31 or 32. Here’s exactly what she said:

“I’m not going to be doing this in my 30s; I don’t want to be fighting in my 30s. By 30s, I mean like 31, 32. If you’re actually 30 years old that’s 30, not 30s. Once you add the one, that’s 30s, plural. I’m 28. I don’t know. I look at it exactly like how we were talking about fighting, that’s how I do everything else. I don’t look at these separate disjointed things. I’m not going to go in there and try this thing and try this thing and try that thing and hope something works out.”

Do you think Rousey only has three or four years left in the sport? However, if she fights two to three times a year, we’ve still got plenty of fights to look forward to before she moves on to other things.

Thoughts?
