Ryan Bader vs. OSP headlines UFC Fight Night 47 in Maine
August’s “UFC Fight Night 47” event in Maine has it’s main event!
UFC officials announced today that surging light heavyweights Ryan Bader and Ovince Saint Preux will collide in the headliner of the octagons debut in Maine.
Ryan Bader (17-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) will be looking to earn his third-straight victory when he takes on Saint Preux this August. “Darth” was most recently seen in action at this past weekend’s UFC 174 event in Vancouver, where he earned a unanimous decision win over Rafael Cavalcante. Prior to his victory over the former Strikeforce champion, the “TUF 8” winner defeated Anthony Perosh at December’s UFC Fight Night event in Australia.
Meanwhile, Ovince Saint Preux (16-5 MMA, 4-0 UFC) has gone a perfect 4-0 since joining the UFC as part of the Strikeforce merger. “OSP” was most recently seen in action this past weekend at UFC 174, where he broke the arm of opponent Ryan Jimmo on route to a submission win. The Haitian-American has not lost since December of 2011, when he was defeated by former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi via unanimous decision.
UFC Fight Night 47 takes place August 16 live from the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. The main card is expected to air on FOX Sports 1, following the prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
