Stipe Miocic Is Ready For The Champ: ‘I Want A Shot At The Title’
UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic is ready to fight for the title after his impressive performance against Mark Hunt.
Miocic beat Hunt up before stopping him in the fifth round and now believes he has done enough to get the next crack at the heavyweight crown. Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum will fight first and Miocic wants a shot at the winner.
Here’s what he said on The MMA Hour:
“My manager’s talked a little bit, nothing much more than that. So we’ll see what happens. I just beat the fifth-ranked guy decisively. I feel like I deserve it. I showed that I belong. I showed that, especially in that fight before even though I lost against the former champ [Junior] dos Santos. I’ve been through a five-round fight twice. So I want a shot at the title.”
Do you think he’s done enough or would you like to see him fight someone else first, maybe the winner of Browne vs. Arlovski?
