Tate Talks Carano: “I’ll take that fight all day long”
With Gina Carano’s return to MMA still looming in the universe, UFC on FOX 11 winner, Miesha Tate wasted no time throwing her name in the hat as a potential candidate for her opponent.
Following a bubbly post-fight interview on the UFC on FOX post-fight show, Tate said she’s ready to take on all-comers, specifically citing potential opponents like Holly Holm and Sarah Kaufmann. However, when the Carano name came up at the post-fight presser, she jumped right in on the discussion.
“I’d like it. I’ll take that fight all day long, for sure. I mean, I’ll fight anybody, but I’d love to fight Gina,” stated Tate.
Gina Carano hasn’t stepped foot inside the cage since her 2009 loss to Cris Cyborg. Her Strikeforce contract transferred to the UFC during acquisition, but it expires in June.
