Thiago Alves Returns After Two-Years For UFC on FOX 11 Bout Against Baczynski
If you thought the UFC’s welterweight division was jammed up with talent before, it just got better.
After a lengthy layoff, former title challenger Thiago ‘Pitbull’ Alves, is set to finally make his return to action during the UFC’s April trip to Florida.
UFC on FOX 11 goes down from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, on April 19th. In the main event Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum will battle it out for a chance to face, champion, Cain Velasquez.
Thiago Alves is certainly a welcome addition to the new post-GSP UFC welterweight landscape. He last saw action in March of 2012 when he lost by way of Submission to Martin Kampmann during the main event of UFC on FX 2. The American Top Team fighter has been battling injuries ever since.
Stepping opposite Alves is Seth Baczynski. Seth was first introduced to the UFC masses during his stint on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season 11. He last saw action taking out Neil Magny last November at UFC Fight Night 31.
