Things Get Awkward For Khabib And Pettis During Bus Ride
UFC lightweights Khabib Nurmagomedov and Anthony Pettis haven’t exactly been supportive when it comes to their back and forth on social media.
After Pettis lost the title to Rafael dos Anjos, Khabib took to Twitter and told him to back to the prelims.
After Khabib got injured again and had to pull out of his fight with Donald Cerrone, Pettis returned the favor and said ‘Karma is a b*tch hope that disability pays well!!!’
So needless to say it would be very awkward if they were forced to sit next to each other during a bus ride. Guess what happened? They were forced to sit next to each other during a bus ride.
Khabib told the story to MMAJunkie:
“I sat down on a bus, and he came and sat down next to me – there was no room. He had to sit with me. I asked, ‘When are you coming back?’ He said, ‘Maybe in November or December. When are you coming back?’ I said, ‘I can come back in October and November, but if the UFC says I need to wait to December to fight Pettis, I’ll wait.’
“He said, ‘We’ll see what happens.’ It wasn’t bad.”
