Thomson vs. Johnson Set For San Jose Event

Josh “The punk” Thomson will meet Michael “The Menace” Johnson at the UFC’s July 26th event in San Jose California for UFC on Fox 12.

Josh Thomson dropped a close decision loss to former lightweight champion Benson Henderson back in July at UFC on Fox 11 in Chicago. Following the controversial decision, the former Strikeforce champion toyed with the idea of retirement.

Michael Johnson on the other hand is 7-4 in his UFC career and will be riding a 3-fight winning streak into his fight with Thomson. The Blackzilian fighter’s last victory came over Melvin Guillard in March via decision.

The only other fight that has been confirmed for this event is Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
