THROWBACK! Weidman’s First MMA Fight

Chris Weidman competed in his first MMA fight back and 2009, four years before he stepped into the cage with Anderson Silva and shocked the world.

The UFC middleweight champion posted this throwback Thursday photo on his Instagram, showing him months before his first ever fight, saying “This is the first time I ever posed with MMA gloves on”

Are you surprised with how far he has come in a relatively short amount of time?

#tbt This is a few months before my first Mma fight back in 2009. The first time I ever posed with MMA gloves on. I had to take this picture to send to the first MMA promotion I fought for called the ring of combat. They needed me to send a pic for the bout poster. Crazy how time flies.
