TJ Dillashaw has a message for fans who judge him for switching camps
UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw has been on the receiving end of criticism after he announced he would be moving camps to Elevation Fight Team in Colorado.
Dillashaw’s name has always been synonymous with the likes of Urijah Faber and Joseph Benavidez at Team Alpha Male. While Duane “Bang” Ludwig was serving as the camp’s head coach, the team saw an improvement in striking and it translated to wins in the octagon. Perhaps the biggest improvement was the striking of Dillashaw who picked apart Renan Barao to win the championship.
After Ludwig’s departure from the camp, Dillashaw made the decision to split his time between California with Team Alpha Male and Colorado with Ludwig. He recently announced he will be making the full-time move to Elevation Fight Team where he will be getting paid to train, rather than pay to train like nearly every other fighter.
Many fans and fighters viewed this as a selfish move, and Brian Stann put it best when he stated that fighters have to make selfish moves to get to the next level in this business. Dillashaw took to Instagram to send a message to his haters— check it out below!
