‘TUF Nations Finale’ Bonus Report: Poirier, Corassani, Noons and Jimmo Make Extra $50,000

Performance of the Night: KJ Noons
Noons only needed thirty seconds to finish Stout and did it in amazing fashion. Stout ate a right hook and fell to the ground. Noons followed up with a brutal left and right hand which caused Stout to go out cold. When he woke up, he tried submitting the referee!

Performance of the Night: Ryan Jimmo
Sean O’Connell was doing a decent job at neutralizing Jimmo’s attack by pressing him against the fence but he made the mistake of letting the action go back to the center of the octagon. All Jimmo needed was a little bit of time to figure out his range and it wasn’t long before he introduced his right hand to the jaw of O’Connell. O’Connell got dropped by a cross and Jimmo towered over him, slamming his right hand onto the head of his opponent. The referee had seen enough and called a stop to the fight after that.

Fight of the Night: Dustin Poirier vs. Akira Corassani
Despite being a decision-heavy night, there were still some exciting bouts. None were more exciting, however, than the opening bout of the main card between featherweights Dustin Poirier and Akira Corassani. Poirier was clearly prepared for a fast-paced fight as he sent Corassani backpedaling early and often. Corassani got caught with his hands down and did not block a brutal uppercut that landed on his nose. Corassani turtled up afterwards and was defenseless, which allowed Poirier to follow up with an assault until the referee separated the two. Poirier is the real deal and he is ready for a step up in talent.
