Tyron Woodley waiting for title shot in 2016

By bjpenndotcom - November 5, 2015

Tyron Woodley is currently sitting on a 2-fight win streak that most recently saw him defeat Kelvin Gastelum via split decision. Woodley was supposed to fight former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 192, however a botched weight cut landed Hendricks in the hospital and left Woodley without an opponent.

After Hendricks botched weight cut, UFC President Dana White stated that Woodley would get the next title shot, however he then changed his tune and wouldn’t commit to giving Woodley the next title shot.

Rather than taking another #1 contender fight, Woodley is content with waiting for a title shot against the winner of Lawler vs. Condit at UFC 195 according to Ariel Helwani, who broke the news on UFC Tonight Wednesday evening.

Do you think Woodley waiting for a title shot will pay off?
