UFC 152 Medical Suspensions I MMA News

By bjpenndotcom - September 24, 2012

The stacked UFC 152 card gave fight fans a lot of memorable moments. It also gave us two great title fights that crowned the first ever flyweight champion and also extended the legacy of a young phenom, respectively.

Jon Jones successfully defended his title in the main event against Vitor Belfort with a fourth round americana. Jones almost tasted his first true defeat, however, as Belfort locked in a solid armbar early in the fight that may have done some serious damage to Jones’ arm. Either way, Jones proved why he is the champion and one of the best of all time.

As for the medical suspensions, most fighters were given a 14-day probationary period just to rest and allow the bumps and bruises to heal. Among the worst were knockout victims, Simeon Thoreson and Charles Oliveira who have minimum suspensions of 60 days.
