UFC 174 Results: MacDonald Earns Unanimous Decision Win Against Woodley

Rory MacDonald put on the most impressive performance of the pay-per-view portion of “UFC 174” in his performance against Tyron Woodley. #2 Rory MacDonald will likely wait on the sidelines to challenge the welterweight champion in the future.

Woodley started off the fight impressively, but exhaustion slowly consumed whatever power and strategy he had as the second round started. MacDonald controlled the center of the octagon and did a fantastic job at dictating where the fight went. Once he moved the fight toward the cage, he would pick Woodley apart.

MacDonald started to make a statement at the beginning of the second round when he stood in front of Woodley without fear and decimated him with any strike he wanted. Woodley tried to make things work for himself, but he could not follow up any offense he landed because MacDonald is such a great counter-striker.

MacDonald dominated for fifteen minutes and it was no surprise when the judges gave him the unanimous decision victory.
