UFC 183 Results: Iaquinta Earns Rough TKO Win Over Lauzon

Al Iaquinta picked up the technical knockout victory against fan favorite Joe Lauzon in an action packed fight.

Lauzon was in control of the bout in the opening half of the first round as he picked his shots and found the holes in Iaquinta’s guard. Iaquinta rallied back in the second, seemingly after he found his distance, and started to crack Lauzon with combinations.

Lauzon started to fade in the second and was eventually wobbled with a straight right. Iaquinta saw that Lauzon was out on his feet, but he chose to pick his shots strategically rather than dump his gas tank and just throw punches in bunches. Iaquinta connected with combo after combo while Lauzon tried to recover and gain his composure, but Iaquinta was on top of him the whole time. Lauzon was never knocked down, but it was clear he was not going to make a recovery from his groggy state and the referee waved the fight off.
