UFC 185 Results: Theodorou Pummels Narvaez, Earns 2nd Round TKO
Roger Narvaez suffered a broken forearm in the opening round when he blocked one of Elias Theodorou’s high kicks. Theodorou was relentless in his attack and ultimately scored a second round win.
Both men threw a lot of body kicks and leg kicks in the first, but anything knockout-inducing was telegraphed and easily avoidable. The pace of the fight picked up in the second when the grappling exchange occurred in the opening minute where both men impressed with their skills.
The turning point in the fight that led to the end was when Theodorou realized how strong he was and how he could overpower Narvaez into bad positions. Theodorou muscled him to the ground and started to hit him with a series of shots that went unblocked. Narvaez turtled up and had plenty of time to improve his positioning but the referee saw enough after fifteen seconds and called the fight.
