UFC champ Ronda Rousey inks another major sponsorship deal
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has inked another deal to add to her list of big corporate company endorsements.
2016 will look to be an even better year for Rousey as she already was listed in Forbes top 10 highest paid female athletes list this year. In addition to Reebok, Carl’s Jr., Metro PCS and Buffalo Jeans, “Rowdy” has signed with Monster Energy. The Sports Marketing Vice President for Monster released the news at a press conference, reported by FOX Sports.
“We are excited to welcome Ronda to our team,” said Mitch Covington. “Not only is she regarded as the world’s most dominant athlete, but she is also an inspiration to all as one of the most iconic MMA fighters of all time with her unsurpassed drive, commitment, star power and worldwide crossover fan base that has made her a true champion.”
Rousey is added to the Monster Energy team of stars, which include Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
The announcement comes right before Rousey defends her title against Holly Holm at UFC 193 on Nov. 15, in Melbourne, Australia.
