‘UFC Fight Night 43’ Adds Bryan Caraway vs. Erik Perez
Bantamweights Erik Perez and Bryan Caraway have signed the dotted lines and are set to face each other at ‘UFC Fight Night 43’. The event will take place at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 7th.
The bout was announced by UFC officials on Monday.
Both Bryan Caraway and Erik Perez are looking to hop back on the wave of momentum they were riding before they suffered losses to Takeya Mizugaki. The two were undefeated with a collected UFC record of 5-0 until Mizugaki put an end to their winning ways with decision losses.
Erik Perez bounced back from defeat his very next fight against Edwin Figueroa at UFC 167. While Perez was not able to finish Figueroa, he dominated him and ultimately won by way of unanimous decision.
Bryan Caraway rebounded succesfully after his loss to Takeya Mizugaki as well, but that was quite a while ago. Caraway forced Johny Bedford into submission at UFC 159 in New Jersey and has not fought since. Will ring rust be a factor for Caraway walking into this bout?
