UFC Fight Night 74 Results: Cote KOs Burkman in FOTN worthy performance
Patrick Cote and Josh Burkman brought the crowd to their feet with their Fight of the Night worthy performance in Canada at “UFC Fight Night 74”. This fight was easily the most electric fight of the card and was a much needed boost of energy for the fans in attendance after a lackluster main-card.
Cote controlled the fight in the opening round with his striking and caught Burkman off guard several times before nearly knocking him out. Cote acted as if he was going to lunge forward and cut off his own attack with a straight punch that clobbered Burkman. Burkman’s chin proved to be on point tonight as he not only remained in the fight, but he remained standing! It was clear Burkman was still wobbled, but Cote was patient in his attack and let the round expire.
Burkman came out swinging in the second and showed that he still had some gas in the tank by grappling his way to a more successful round, but Cote would end his night early in the third round.
Cote picked up ANOTHER big win in front of his fellow Canadians, but both of them deserved a round of applause from everybody in attendance.
