“UFC Fight Night: Duffy vs. Poirier” card set with 11 fights
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Dublin, Ireland on October 24 with a stacked card that is set to air exclusively on UFC’s subscription service, UFC Fight Pass. Joseph “Irish Joe” Duffy will headline his first UFC event after two impressive wins when he steps into the octagon to square off with Dustin Poirier.
Heavyweights Stipe Miocic and Ben Rothwell were expected to clash in the co-main-event, but Miocic was forced to pull out of the fight due to an injury. The UFC could not find Rothwell a late replacement and he was forced off the card as well, which bumped Patrick Holohan and Louis Smolka’s flyweight battle to co-headliner status.
