“UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver” Draws Massive Attendance In Boston
Last night Conor McGregor defeated Dennis Siver at the TD Garden in Boston via TKO in the 2nd round to become the #1 contender in the featherweight division.
Following the bout, UFC President Dana White, along with the stars of “UFC Fight Night Boston”, gathered for the post-fight press conference, where the attendance, and live gate were announced.
A reported 13,828 people attended the event live, for a live gate of $1.34 million.
This is comparable to the previous 2 times the UFC visited Boston for “UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn 2”, which had an attendance of 14,168 fans for a gate of $2,800,000. The largest event in terms of attendance the UFC has held in Boston however was “UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen”, which was attended by 14,181 fans for a gate of $1,533,940.
