Former UFC Fighter Arrested On Cold Case Murder From 1999

Former UFC fighter Homer “The Rock” Moore was arrested Monday for his involvement in the 1999 murder of Karam Hussein Jabar according to Tempe Police.
Tempe Police described the case in a press release on Monday.
“[Jabbar] was found deceased in the trunk of a vehicle, both hands and feet bound, and a bag over his head.” The medical examiner concluded Jabbar died of “asphyxiation due to deprivation of oxygen due to ligatures and [a] plastic bag over [his] head and neck.”
Moore is currently being held with a $1 million bond after being identified by the Tempe Police along with the help of the U.S. Marshal Service and the Maricopa County Attorney’s office.
Moore, a veteran of 36 professional MMA fights made his successful return to the cage in March 2013 after a 6 year layoff. He is most well known for his brief stint with the UFC in which he lost via submission to Evan Tanner.
