UFC Fighters React To Holly Holm Getting Title Shot Instead Of Miesha Tate
Early, very early, this morning it was announced that undefeated UFC bantamweight Holly Holm would be fighting champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 195. Sounds pretty good right, another undefeated vs. undefeated story line to run with….but what happened to Miesha Tate?
After Tate’s win over Jessica Eye, which was set up as a potential number one contender match, it was almost a fact that she would be stepping into the octagon with Rousey for the third time. Tate did mention in recent interviews that she hadn’t received the call from the UFC yet, and that she wasn’t going to get herself all worked up about it, since things Dana White say don’t always happen like he says.
Looks like she was right. Needless to say, everyone in the MMA community was pretty shocked at the announcement.
Check out how they reacted on Twitter:
The fans are sleeping on Holly Holm, the gym she trains at, and the coaching staff she has with her. They'll have her ready

@_HOLLYHOLM is the only one that have a chance to beat @RondaRousey…it should be a good close fight

Looks like Vegas for New Years. I thought Nunes has been more impressive than Holm, but I'll take this over another Tate fight. #UFC195
