UFC Fighters React to Romero’s Upset Win over Machida
Yoel Romero stepped into the octagon on Saturday night as the underdog, but walked out with his hands held high in victory after defeating Lyoto Machida. The main card of “UFC Fight Night 70” was filled with finishes on Saturday night, but no finish was as shocking as Romero’s over Machida.
Romero took Machida down in the third round and blasted him with several elbows which rocked the former UFC champion. Machida was not protecting himself and ate elbow after elbow before the referee stepped in to wave the fight off, giving Romero yet another impressive victory.
