UFC FN 60 Results: Makovski Smothers Elliot & Earns Decision Win

Number ten raked flyweight Zach Makovsky was able to pin Tim Elliot down on the mat for the majority of the fight tonight to secure his third UFC win.

Throughout all of the takedowns, Elliot kept the pace of the fight fun and interesting as he never stopped fighting off of his back. If he wasn’t looking for a submission, he was throwing fists and elbows to do as much damage as he could with his back on the mat. Elliot almost made a come from behind victory in the third round after dumping Makovsky on his head. Makovsky was stunned after the slam and Elliot almost put him away with a guillotine, but Makovsky was game and escaped.

Even though he did minimal damage while in top control, Makovsky’s takedowns were enough to reward him the unanimous decision victory.
