UFC on FOX 15 Results: VanZant Controls and Dominates Herrig

Paige VanZant did Team Alpha Male proud!

Felice Herrig and Paige VanZant kicked off the main card of ‘UFC on FOX 15’. Herrig showed a great amount of heart in her performance, but it was like she was swimming upstream when fighting VanZant. VanZant had just as much energy at the end of the third than she did in the first.

Herrig had an opportunity in the opening round to finish the fight when she trapped VanZant in a rear naked choke, but VanZant was able to power out and it was her fight from that point on. VanZant was comfortable with leaving herself susceptible to dangerous counters from Herrig because Herrig couldn’t commit and finish!

VanZant’s top control, counters and vicious strikes added up to a no-brainer 30-27 unanimous decision in her favor. Surprisingly, the judges scored it right.
